Candidate Statement
I am a lifelong resident of Desert Hot Springs and am committed to making it the place I know it can be.
As a student at DHSHS, I attended a school with only one working restroom per gender for months. I addressed the school board and led a student coalition that filed Williams Act complaints over facility conditions.
In 2022, I ran a grassroots, self-funded campaign for this seat and earned 48% of the vote against a longtime incumbent.
From 2023-2025, I was appointed to fill a vacancy on the City’s Public Safety Commission and served out the full term, part of it as Vice Chairman. As a commissioner, I was proud to serve as a community liaison and advocate for pedestrian safety, local businesses, and increased transparency.
I’ve spent years working in information technology and in hospitality, both in guest service and as a bookkeeper. I seek to bring this attention to detail to the board. My top priorities are responsible financial stewardship, teacher retention, school safety, and regular site maintenance so students can focus on what matters.
I would be humbled to continue serving our community. Thank you.
